Tests have concluded that new e-passports can be hacked within minutes. A researcher cloned the chips in 2 passports and then implanted images of Osama bin Laden and a suicide bomber. Both passports passed as genuine by UN approved passport readers.

Batman Downsizes Due to High Gas Prices

Despite being able to defeat The Joker, time and time again… Batman, like the rest of us, can’t win at the pumps.   You know it’s bad when Bruce Wayne can’t even afford to fill up his gas guzzler.

However, I hope he didn’t make a rash decision and did the proper calculations to determine if downsizing really makes sense in his case.  You can find out if trading in your gas guzzler is a smart move by using this calculator.

His new SMART Coupe doesn’t appear to carry nearly the same firepower as the Batmobile either.  Hope that doesn’t come back to bite him later.

For more Bataman humor check out this funny Dark Knight by kids trailor.

$200 Web Tablet On The Horizon?

TechCrunch Tablet

Michael Arrington of TechCrunch thinks it can be a reality and he’s setting his sights on making it happen. I agree that it could be a great product if done correctly. However, I think it may be a while before decent components will be cheap enough to stay under the $200 goal.

I’m tired of waiting – I want a dead simple and dirt cheap touch screen web tablet to surf the web. Nothing fancy like the Dell latitude XT, which costs $2,500. Just a Macbook Air-thin touch screen machine that runs Firefox and possibly Skype on top of a Linux kernel. It doesn’t exist today, and as far as we can tell no one is creating one. So let’s design it, build a few and then open source the specs so anyone can create them.

Check out the rest of what Michael has to say about it.
