LEGO is 50!

BoingBoing’s Joel Johnson created this video in honor of LEGO’s 50th Anniversary billing it as the Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon Time-Lapse Video. 

I captured one frame out of every 150. It’s a great set; much more fun to put together than the giant Star Destroyer. Far fewer repetitive sections. Now the ultimate question: keep it on my shelf to scare potential dates, sell it, or press its parts into service to build more ships of my own design?

I’ll admit it’s not bad at all but this one has to be the ULTIMATE time-lapse video.  Watch as the LEGO StarWars characters assemble the Millennium Falcon in this video

CIA Says Hackers Have Cut Power Grid

Think it only happens in movies like Die Hard?  Apparently not…

Criminals have been able to hack into computer systems via the Internet and cut power to several cities, a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency analyst said this week.

Criminals have launched online attacks that disrupted power equipment in several regions outside of the U.S., he said, without identifying the countries affected. The goal of the attacks was extortion, he said.

Macbook Air – What’s it missing?

PCWorld points out some interesting missing components…

- Ethernet jack
- Multiple USB ports
- Removable battery
- Firewire
- Upgradable RAM
- Large Hard drive

This is becoming a wireless world but wi-fi only might be stretching it this soon. And without being able to use multiple batteries you’ll still be connected to a wire for the power.
